Each semester the fraternity is open to new members from the beginning of the term to approximately half of the semester. To become a member, a recruit must Pledge. To be eligible for pledging, a person must:
- Sustain a gpa of 2.0 or higher
- Be free of any felony convictions
- Be either enrolled in a degree program in the feild of Criminal Justice, be an honorable retiree of the field, or currently hold a career in the field.
If the above requirements have been met, one may pledge. To do so:
- Obtain a membership form, complete it, and pay dues (dues include a t-shirt fee and the National Membership Fee)
- Obtain a copy of the National Bylaws
- Obtain a copy of the Standing Rules
- Obtain a copy of the Association's History
- Obtain a copy of the Emblem explanation
- Obtain a copy of the Oath
- Adhere to the prescribed percentage of activity to fulfill the pledge requirements
- Contact your Mentor weekly
At the end of the semester, and after completing the preceeding requirements:
- An oral interview will be scheduled consisting of questions relating to the Chapters history, Emblem, Rules, and a statement on why you want to be a member, and what you would bring to the Chapter.
- A written test will be given on information about the Association.
All of the preceeding completed enables you to become a full member of Chi Chi Rho.
